My darling, I pray daily that you’re healthy, smart, beautiful, and that you’ll have a heart to love yourself, others, & most of all our Creator. I realized that if I’m praying those things over you that I also need to embody those very things. So not only do I speak them over you but I speak them over myself and I’m becoming more aware everyday. You my little one make me better already.
My darling, you are growing. When you grow I grow. Not only is my belly getting a little bigger everyday but my love for you is growing stronger and stronger as each day passes us by. My faith is growing as I put my trust in our Father that you’ll be healthy and come into this world safely. My joy is growing as the reality of you becomes more and more real. Let’s keep growing my little one.
“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” – Coco Chanel
That is probably one of my favorite quotes about fashion. When I lived overseas out of a backpack for a year I missed fashion quite a bit and I remember being so inspired by everything around me. When I was in Africa it was the bold patterns and mixed prints, in India it was the bright homes, in Thailand it was the thought that was put into the most beautifully designed restaurants, cafes, and coffee shops and it truly felt like I took that inspiration home with me.
I couldn’t agree more with the how Coco Chanel describes fashion. To some, fashion can be thought of as maybe a little superficial and unimportant but to me it’s something that is all around us just waiting to be noticed and ready to inspire those who do.
This outfit my friends has been my jam. Give me a pair of jeggings, a comfy t-shirt (literally obsessed with this one), and a kimono any day! I’ve been living in all three lately but I seriously cannot stop buying kimonos. Has anyone else been as obsessed with kimonos as I’ve been? I have this one in two different colors and a floral pattern as well. My motto is if you’re having trouble deciding what to wear throw a kimono on it!
Hey guys! One of my goals this year is to really spend time renewing my mind in the word of God everyday. I love how refreshed I feel after reading and I notice a huge difference in my attitude. This morning I opened up my Jesus Lives devotional ( check it out here ) and I LOVED the verses that went along with the message and wanted to share the encouragement with you because we all need these little reminders of truth every now and then.
** “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.” Ephesians 1:11-12
“‘For in him we live and move and have our being.'” As some of your own poets have said, “‘We are his offspring.'” Acts 17:28
“Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.” Ephesians 1:4 **

I don’t know about you but just reading those verses fill my heart with joy. It’s amazing that the creator of the world created each and every one of us for a purpose. Hope you guys are having a wonderful Tuesday!
Hi and welcome to Darling Darlings!
First off, thank you so much for checking out my new home on the internet. I am so excited to get to share this space with you and I can’t wait to get to know you better!
Blogging and writing have had a special place in my heart for years. It wasn’t until last year that I really got serious and consistent with blogging. February 2015 my friend Kelsey and I started The Radiant Life Blog and lets just say things really took off! Neither of us anticipated for TRL to blow up as quickly as it did. After spending a lot of time in prayer, November of 2015 I decided to step away from The Radiant Life Blog. Kelsey is awesome and is still rocking it out over at TRL and I wish her nothing but the best!
Slowing down was a big reason for leaving TRL and I am so thankful for the months I had to take a break and give my dreams to Jesus and now it’s brought me to this space! I created Darling Darlings to have a place to write and create at my own pace sharing encouragement, travel and adventure, my life happenings as a wife, along with some awesome tips, tools, and guides.
Thanks again for stopping by and I look forward to getting to know you better!
